History
AdeliaCo was founded in 1999 by Maria
and Franco Cuffaro, a husband and wife team
with a long family history in the coffee business.
During the 1980s and early nineties, Franco
and his father, Antonino Cuffaro owned and
operated Cimo Coffee, a premier coffee roasting
company, with Giovanni Dimora…who just
happened to be Maria’s father.
Cimo Coffee was one of the first roasting
houses to introduce authentic Italian coffee
into Quebec culture. Long before the current
gourmet coffee trend hit, Cimo took a risk
and opened their own local roasting plant
rather than importing their espresso from
Italy. They learned first hand everything
there is to know about Italian style coffee
making. As a result, they helped shape the
coffee market as it exists today in Quebec.
In 1999, bolstered by other successful business
ventures and exciting new developments in
the coffee industry, Franco and Maria knew
it was time to rekindle their old flame. It
was out of their true passion for coffee that
Adelia Caffe was born.
Through innovation and expertise, AdeliaCo
has found the perfect balance between science

Italian espresso beverages. Our customers
